2016-03-01 Imagine a Canada national art and essay competition

“Imagine a Canada” was a national art and essay competition offered by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation that asked young people to share their thoughts on what the future of Canada will look like through the lens of reconciliation. The competition was open to grades 1-12 as well as to undergraduate students at post-secondary schools. Contestants could submit works of art, poetry, film, video, or traditional essays in this competition.

CFNP, represented by Tania Budgell, was proud to participate on the final Selection Committee with other national representatives. A ceremony honouring the recipients was hosted by the Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, on March 1, 2016 in Ottawa, ON.

Congratulations to all ten recipients!
